Position: House Manager

Type: Part time temporary event staff
Pay: $12.00/hour
Description:
A Front-of-House Manager is a theatrical facilities management and operations professional. They are charged with overseeing all public areas of the Batavia Fine Arts Centre, including the lobby, concession stands, and the house of the theatre itself. They manage all volunteer ushers and house assistants. Additionally, they ensure that the experience of each patron is enjoyable and safe.
Requirements:
–      Orienting and training all house workers
–      Coordinating building opening times on show nights with technical staff
–      Ensure all lights are turned off after each show and all doors are locked
–      Inspecting all public areas of  the BFAC prior to each performance & rectifying any issues prior to guest arrival
–      Experience successfully problem solving
–      Experience with outstanding customer service
–      Ability to work under pressure while remaining pleasant
–      Must be willing to work nights and weekends.
–      As the BFAC is a training centre, applicants must have exceptional mentoring skills for our team of interns studying arts management
