We would like YOU to be part of the Batavia Fine Arts Centre team. It is our goal to have a strong volunteer base so that everyone can have a responsibility at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre  that he/she can embrace, enjoy, and fit into a busy schedule. A strong volunteer force will provide opportunities for the many that walk through the doors of the Centre for years to come.


A crew of 20-30 ushers are coordinated by the House Manager for each performance. Ushers come to the Centre an hour and fifteen minutes before the show opens and show people to their seats. No previous experience is necessary; however these volunteers should enjoy greeting and working with the public, as they are our most visible ambassadors.

Box Office Volunteers

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide guests with a positive initial experience at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre.  This experience is created by aiding guests with accurate event information and assisting them in purchasing and/or picking up tickets to Batavia Fine Arts Centre events.  This position is expected to work cohesively with all employees in maintaining a high level of guest service.  Hours can be during the day or evening.

Additional Volunteer Positions

Many other volunteer positions are available at the Batavia Fine Arts Centre, including concession and gift shop sales, data entry, running errands, landscaping, special event support, mailings, filing, etc.
