With a breathtaking 47’ wide mainstage, a completely customizable black box theatre, a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, and some of the best staff on the planet, it’s not hard to see the Batavia Fine Arts Centre has it all. We’ve recently received some amazing upgrades that were only possible because of the loyal patrons and renters that we are proud to have with us!
A director’s story is told by all sorts of equipment, that includes performers, stage crew, and other technical advancements. Onstage, we HAVE all sorts of new equipment. Recently, we were able to install six innovative moving wash lights in addition to our previous ten! Not only will this allow for new and creative lighting effects, but they will also be able to be incorporated into any event that renters would like! You may also hear the roar of the two newly installed EAW RSX218 dual subwoofers which can achieve pitches as low as 27 HZ. This will improve the overall sound quality throughout the theatre and allow for a much better listening experience! We plan to add more in the future as well. Joe Anderson, the Technical Director for the BFAC, states “These new upgrades will ensure an elevated user experience!”
We strive to provide the latest and greatest in guest interaction. With the five monitors scattered in convenient locations throughout the BFAC, you will be able to watch the performance from the lobby or vestibule despite anything that may prohibit you to enter the performance area. Dominic Cattero, The Front of House manager for the BFAC, when asked about the upgrades, states “I’m thrilled at the improvements that we are able to provide to those who utilize our space as well as those who experience the arts from the audience”. We would love to have you stop by and see what the hype is all about!
