The Holiday favorite, The Nutcracker Ballet, complete with visions of Sugar Plum Fairies, Snow Queens, Princes, Candies, colors and more, is a time honored tradition for students of DancEncounter School of Dance. This local dance studio resides in Geneva and has presented their bi-annual, traditional holiday show since 1993. Many local DE dancers have graced many local stages, over the decades, in bringing to life the story of Clara’s Holiday gift from her Uncle Drosselmeier, a beloved Toymaker. 2021 is no different and DancEncounter is honored to be back on the BFAC stage to share the magic of a dream and the imaginative world that Tchaikovsky created with his wonderful score. Again, local children and young adults, from age of three and up, all students participating with DancEncounter, complete the entire cast and dance the full length ballet creating personal, magical memories for each other, themselves and their friends, families and community at large. We hope to sprinkle a little magic, Nutcracker style, into your holidays too!
