Fox Valley Orchestra Presents: Calypso Summer

Come be wowed by a musician hailed as the “Paganini of the Steelpan”!  Liam Teague is Professor of Music and Head of Steelpan studies at NIU, where he also directs the renowned NIU Steelband.  Liam’s commitment to demonstrating the great musical possibilities of the steelpan has taken him throughout the world, and he has received many awards and competition prizes from his homeland of Trinidad and Tobago. Liam, who has performed with many of the world’s leading orchestras and ensembles, shares his talent with the FVO in a concert sure to uplift and inspire!
