The Tribute Artist of the Year honor was awarded to singer/ actress /producer/star of THE BEAT GOES ON Cher Tribute Show, Lisa McClowry at the Grande Ole Opry in Nashville Tennessee recently, from the Josie Music Awards (the world’s largest international independent artists awards ceremony) for her portrayal of CHER in this theatrical extravaganza celebrating six decades in the life and career of the Goddess of Pop.

CHER is, in short, incomparable. And now, beautifully portrayed in a Broadway-style live stage show called “The Beat Goes On” by Legends in Concert artist/singer/actress Lisa McClowry. It’s no surprise that Lisa was named Tribute Artist of the Year. Why? Because she cares about EVERY aspect of playing CHER and it shows. Nothing is overlooked. “I am proud to portray a woman who empowers other women. Like Cher, who brilliantly played the real lives of strong women in the movies Silkwood and Mask, I am blessed with the opportunity to portray the incomparable CHER celebrating her life, music, singing voice, movies, fashion, her look, her walk, her talk, and her unique blend of power and vulnerability we all love.”

Lisa’s show incorporates dynamic dialogue, humor, seriously fun audience participation, 8 costume changes, video projection with amazing visuals and animations. You can expect to hear Cher’s hits spanning from the 60’s to now including: I Got You Babe, Gypsies Tramps and Thieves, I Found Someone, The Way of Love, Dark Lady, If I Could Turn Back Time, songs from ABBA — Cher’s Dancing Queen album, Woman’s World, Welcome to Burlesque, Believe and so much more!

Parking & Food/ Beverage Notice

Parking alert! June 19th Will have multiple events on site – due to this, parking may be more limited than previous events. To aid patrons, we have secured a number of parking spaces for BFAC use only on June 19, 2026 until 7:10 pm or until spots are gone.

• We kindly ask that as you approach our parking lot on Wilson St, you have your tickets out and ready for staff to check for admittance to BFAC only parking.
• We are anticipating a busy evening, so we highly recommend an arrival to the BFAC no later than 20 minutes before the show.

For this performance, the Batavia Fine Arts Centre will be operating under our Blue – Guest Access food and drink procedure. Here’s what to know before you arrive:
All food and beverages enjoyed during the performance must be purchased on-site through BFAC concessions
No outside food or drink may enter the building

What’s new (and what you’ll like):
Drinks purchased at concessions may be poured into your personal beverage container and taken into the theatre
Upon entry into the lobby, guests with a personal sealed beverage container will be asked to show that it is empty, or transfer contents into a container at the front doors
Select ON Stage snack menu items purchased at concessions may now be enjoyed inside the theatre

Why we’re doing this:
This is part of a 6-month test program using event-specific food and beverage procedures
Procedures are based on the needs of each type of event, rather than one blanket rule for all performances
National touring performances are designated as Blue events, allowing us to verify that items entering the theatre are safer for our seats and carpet
