Cirque Mechanics
October 24 7:30 pm
[button label='Purchase Season Tickets' link='https://www.bataviafineartscentre.org/packages-prices/' color='primary'] Cirque Mechanics was founded in 2004 by Boston native and German Wheel artist, Chris Lashua, after the success of a collaborative project with the Circus Center of San Francisco entitled Birdhouse Factory. Cirque Mechanics quickly established itself as a premiere American circus, with its unique approach to performance, inspiring storytelling, and innovative mechanical staging. Spectacle Magazine hailed it as “the greatest contribution to the American circus since Cirque du Soleil.” Cirque Mechanics, although inspired by modern circus, finds its roots in the mechanical and its heart in the stories of American ingenuity. The shows, rooted in realism, display a raw quality, rarely found in modern circus, that makes their message timeless and relevant. The stories are wrapped in circus acrobatics, mechanical wonders, and a bit of clowning around.

The Beat Goes On
June 19, 2026 7:30 pm
CHER is, in short, incomparable. And now, beautifully portrayed in a Broadway-style live stage show called “The Beat Goes On” by Legends in Concert artist/singer/actress Lisa McClowry. It's no surprise that Lisa was named Tribute Artist of the Year. Why? Because she cares about EVERY aspect of playing CHER and it shows. Nothing is overlooked. “I am proud to portray a woman who empowers other women. Like Cher, who brilliantly played the real lives of strong women in the movies Silkwood and Mask, I am blessed with the opportunity to portray the incomparable CHER celebrating her life, music, singing voice, movies, fashion, her look, her walk, her talk, and her unique blend of power and vulnerability we all love.”

Come enjoy a night of surprises and laughs with our improv troupe. The hilariously funny troupe will leave you both at the edge of your seat and laughing the night away!!
